Questions people ask
How much does a windshield replacement cost in Boca Raton?
It depends on the vehicle. The glass for an older sedan is not the same price as the glass for a late model SUV, and some windshields carry sensors or heating elements that cost more. Call with your year, make and model and you get a firm number, not a range.
Does my insurance cover a windshield in Florida?
Many comprehensive policies in Florida cover windshield repair or replacement. What you pay depends on your policy and deductible, so we verify your coverage before starting and tell you the exact out of pocket amount first.
My car has lane assist. Can you still do it?
Yes, we replace the glass. Vehicles with lane departure warning or automatic emergency braking have a camera mounted to the windshield, and that camera needs to be recalibrated afterward by a shop with the right equipment. We do not do the recalibration ourselves, so we tell you up front and point you to someone who does. We would rather say it before the job than after.
Can you come to my house or my job?
Yes. The service is mobile across Palm Beach and Broward. All we need is a flat place to park with room to open the doors. Heavy rain is the only thing that moves an appointment.
How long does it take before I can drive?
The installation takes about an hour. After that the urethane needs time to cure before the car is safe to drive, and the exact wait depends on the product and the weather that day. We tell you the safe drive away time before we leave.
Can a crack be repaired instead of replacing the glass?
Usually yes if the damage is smaller than a dollar bill and not directly in the driver line of sight. Repair is faster and cheaper, so we always check that first.
